Legler Files for Re-election in HD-144
Pasadena – State Representative Ken Legler formally filed today to seek re-election in Texas House District 144, where he has served since 2008.
Legler is a successful Pasadena businessman and, with his wife, owns Houston Wire Works, Inc. He currently serves on two prominent committees in the Texas House, the Pension, Investments, and Financial Services Committee and the House Committee on Environmental Regulation.
“When I first ran for office in 2007, I promised to stand tall and fight to make government more accountable and efficient. Last Session, we were faced with a budget shortfall, and yet we were able to pass a balanced budget without raising taxes, and finally pass a voter ID bill. The choice before the Texas Legislature was to raise taxes and increase government spending, or cut spending and keep hope, growth and opportunity alive in Texas. I am proud of the results.” stated Legler.
